In 2024, a charitable organization SOS Children’s Villages celebrated its 30th anniversary. To mark the occasion, our team designed a contemporary art auction in a way that spoke to both adults and children. All proceeds went to support families facing difficult life situations.

For inspiration, we turned to Pablo Picasso — an artist who deeply valued the freedom of children’s creativity. “I can draw like Raphael, but it will take me a lifetime to learn to draw like a child,” he once said. This quote perfectly captured the concept of the auction. That’s why we invited children from SOS Children’s Villages to take part directly in creating the event’s identity: we prepared design layouts, and they added their own: drawing over typography, inventing narrative scenes and abstract compositions, exploring cosmic themes or festive moments.

Visually, we combined refined serif typefaces symbolizing the “adult” world with bright, spontaneous children’s drawings. The letters came alive, lines broke the familiar rhythm, and the layouts became unpredictable and full of energy. Each drawing is like a small portrait of its author: you can easily see their character in the lines, colors, and stories. Looking at these works feels like becoming a child again, if only for a couple of minutes.
