Identity design for an eco-hotel

The visual communications of “Mayak” (Маяк, Lighthouse) are built around the idea of versatility. This eco-hotel offers opportunities for many different kinds of leisure. Sports facilities that can be used in any weather coexist with a full-fledged spa complex, and luxury restaurants sit alongside cozy coffee shops. At “Mayak,” guests can either retreat into their own cabin or mingle with others — organizing a barbecue for neighbors or staying at a fully serviced hotel.

The visual metaphor in the hotel’s emblem expresses the intersection of multiple possibilities, from which each guest can choose something for themselves — but all these options converge at a single point on the map. The schematic rays of light from the lighthouse also resemble arrows pointing toward each other.

The identity extends to navigation throughout the hotel complex, souvenirs, maps, menus, staff uniforms, and visuals for social media — presenting the eco-hotel as a point on the map, a landmark for travelers.
